Self Care Sunday: Slow Flow + Acupuncture w/ Christina & KateEastern philosophies like Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda view fall as the season of letting go, cutting ties, clearing fields, and making space. With less daytime and nature offering the last it's bounty, it's a transition period into a slower, quieter time of the year. Self-care is a trend in health and wellness that is quite popular. A workshop that encourages living in accordance with the seasons is of great interest in our immediate and surrounding communities.In our 2-hour Self Care Sunday Flow + Acupuncture class, we'll spend the first 20 minutes discussing tips to more properly calibrate to the seasons - including diet, lifestyle, and sleep hygiene. Next, we'll do a 60 minute slow flow yoga class incorporating postures that we appropriate for the transition to fall (aka 'closing down') for the season. We'll end with 30 minutes of scalp/ear acupuncture, and students will get to take home goodie bag of seasonal self-care items.
